(The most fun that happened on New Year’s Eve)
Two Deep Brewing Co./Indianapolis, Indiana
If I had to describe this wedding day, it would be: Happy Tears Mush Fest NYE Extravaganza in an Dope Brewery with a Dog. Oh did I mention that the bride changed out of her Hollywood glam inspired wedding gown to a full blown sequined romper for the reception? She said, and I quote: “So I can get low.” Love her already? Hard not to, right? (She’s also the voice behind the insanely addictive podcast: Crime Junkie. Go check it out immediately after you see this wedding day!)
This wedding broke so many of those traditional “rules” of how a wedding day should look like. This the huge secret to having an incredibly fun, stress free, “I want to live this day over and over again and wouldn’t change a thing” vibe. Couple of things that stood out to me are: They included their dog the ENTIRE wedding day. Most people are afraid to include their fur babies but I say don’t leave out the most important things in your life! They held an incredibly intimate ceremony, followed by a farmhouse style dinner. Everyone was seated around long candle lit tables, passing around incredible wood fire pizza’s, salad and breadsticks (yo, TwoDEEP Brewing, your food and beer are ahhmmazzinggg). They opened the doors of the brewery afterwords so that a larger group of people could join in the fun for their reception. I loved how that solved the issue I hear a lot on feeding and accommodating hundreds of people! Lastly, the bride chose to do a first look with her Dad and brother, and saved seeing her husband for the first time for the aisle. I know ‘first looks’ are a popular option for weddings, but remember this is YOUR wedding, do it how you want, and everything else will accommodate!
Where did you mostly look for your wedding inspiration?
I love simplicity – I wanted to keep the natural brick look at the building but just accent with string lights!
How would you describe your wedding in 3 words?
Absolutely freaking perfect
What was the best moment of your wedding day?
I loved the ceremony. It was so intimate and even with the few people that were there I didn’t feel like there was anyone else in the room both Erik and I said it was like everyone else wasn’t there it was just him and I. It was absolutely perfect.
Is there anything you would have done differently? Why?
Not a thing! The one thing I’ve said over and over since that day is I wouldn’t have changed a single thing and I want to do that day over and over again
If you could give advice to a bride planning her wedding, what would it be?
Don’t be afraid to play by your own rules. If you only want certain people at the ceremony just invite those people. And if you want to wear a romper so you can get low during the reception wear the romper! And if you want to bring your dog, bring your dog! It’s important!
Here’s all the Awesome vendors!!
