Amanda + Ben
Speed Art Museum, Louisville KY
From the first look that happened in the living room of the home they had just moved in to, to riding around in a trolley with all their bridal party, to stopping at The Garage Bar where they first met, to having their ceremony and reception in the most spectacular art museum…this wedding was incredible for all the right reasons.
Amanda and Ben focused their day around having a great time with their closest friends and family, which is the exact formula for a wedding day to be wickedly fun! It had been raining Kentucky style (read: torrential downpour for dayssss) up until their wedding day. As soon as Amanda walked down the aisle, the rain stopped and a bright beam of sunshine filled the all glass atrium where they had their ceremony and in the words of the groom, it felt “that this was proof that everything was falling into place.”
The Speed Art Museum recently underwent a massive renovation and it is truly spectacular. The beauty about this stunning venue is not only does it house some of the most incredible works of art in the world, but as a wedding venue it hardly needs anything else added. The architecture is sleek, modern and so impressive.
Cheers, Mr & Mrs Willcut! I am deeply honored to have documented your wedding day!!
How would you describe your wedding in 3 words?
Best. Day. Ever.
What was the best moment of your wedding day?
Amanda – Our first look stands out to me. I had convinced myself I would not cry, but as soon as I saw him I couldn’t help myself.
Ben – When the sun came out right as the ceremony started (it was tereential downpour all weekend). Ben feels that this was proof that everything was falling into place.
Is there anything you would have done differently?
I would have practiced our first dance lol
If you could give advice to a bride planning her wedding, what would it be?
Relax. Everything will be perfect!
